EFG400 fruit and vegetable grading system

The EFG400 system is capable of measuring weight, color, dimensions (e.g. length, diameter, curvature) and other product properties such as defects, blemish, stalk and reflection.

Using an intuitive graphical user interface, running on Windows XP Embedded, the system can easily be configured and maintained. Measurements and images of the products can be viewed in real-time, allowing direct control and modification of the grading process.

Statistics over the grading process are gathered for later usage with, for example, tracking and tracing software or the EFG400 Statistics Web interface.

Santos Framegrabber

Several PCI grabbers have been available on the market for some time, but, depending on their architecture, most of them are not suited for real-time imaging processing applications

It supports both 5V PCI and 3.3V PCI environments and is capable to grab up to 4 analogue camera signals simultanously!

EFG400 MiniMaster / WeightMaster

The small size and inexpensive hardware are making it ideal for weight systems up to eight lanes. The ProfiSensor and ProfiWeight cards are embedded so it only needs position sensors and output boards to work.

Adjusting the grading program and analyzing the results are done in the same way as always with the Windows XP Embedded PC, so there is a very short learning curve.

ProfiXpress PCI-e Card

As from 2003 the Ellips EFG400 system uses a field bus to control the input and output boards. This reliable and stable bus is called PROFIBUS. In all control environments a huge number of vendors support this bus.

Ellips designed a new PCI-Express Profibus Master to replace the older Siemens PCI Profibus Master.
